Continuing Education, Counseling, and Consulting
We believe in the power of taking the time to rebuild, rejuvenate and believe in yourself. Both of us have grown up in the Youngstown area and we want to be a part of cherishing and investing in the Rust Belt.
We are counselors and educators, offering affordable live continuing education, consultation, clinical supervision, and counseling services here in the state of Ohio. If you are passionate about personal and professional development, look no further than Rustbelt Counseling and Consulting.
Starting in Summer of 2023, we are offering live continuing education programs. See our homepage on this site to register.
Consultation services on licensure, accreditation (CARF), organization management, and other field related issues are offered by request. Please contact us with your needs and we can discuss ways we may be able assist you.
Counseling services are now available with Meghan and can be scheduled by visiting the link on the "Counseling" tab. Private pay and most insurances are accepted.
Meghan Fawcett, LPCC-S, LICDC-CS
I am a licensed professional clinical counselor and licensed independent chemical dependency counselor with supervisory endorsements in the state of Ohio. Working in the field of behavioral health since 2006, I have worked with people of all ages to address concerns in life related to mood disorders, addictions, and responses to changes in life (i.e., divorce, career changes, traumatic events).
In addition to providing counseling services, I have worked in agency administration, developing programming, and providing supervision in all levels of care in substance use disorder treatment. To coincide with program development, I have developed continuing education opportunities for counselors and social workers that enhance knowledge of evidenced based practices and improve client satisfaction. My experience with supervision and counselor education has been furthered by working as an adjunct professor in the Department of Counseling at Youngstown State University since 2008.
Working in behavioral health has afforded me many opportunities to assist clients, participate in the development of thriving counselors, and engage in advocacy for the behavioral health field. I am a former president of the Ohio Counseling Association, former president of East Ohio Counseling Association and have had the opportunity to engage in legislative advocacy at the state and national level.

Rick Fawcett, LPCC-S
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a supervisor endorsement in the state of Ohio. I enjoy working with those who find that they need assistance in reaching personal goals, working through life changes, experiencing mood disorders, or wanting to understand how to improve overall satisfaction and performance in key areas of their lives.
In addition to holding a counseling license, I am also a licensed teacher in the state of Ohio with 12 years of experience in the public school system and 9 years of experience in higher education. During my experiences as an educator, I have had continuous opportunities to guide, coach, and support students through academic, social, personal and athletic challenges. I truly enjoy helping people meet goals on all areas of life.
My diverse life experiences, work as a counselor, counseling supervisor, athletic coach,
and educator, aided me in developing both skill and desire in the areas of personal growth and goal attainment.
